    Hacker works

    Post  H4CK3R on Mon Jan 19, 2009 2:22 pm

I am new to PhotoShop. I've been working for a week or so...
    Here are my best sigies.
    ...:1:...

    ..:2:...

    ...:3:...

I have a hard time grasping the concept of depth and flow...

You are a newbie but you ain't that bad^^
I like the idea in the first one. Cool smudge. Did you use Gaussian Blur then set the layer on Lighten at the end?
2nd one and 3rd one are good, but need better effects, flow and some depth...
    KIU^^

I agree. Still a newbie, but an excellent newbie. You need to add some more effects which compliment the flow. Find some good C4Ds (take a look at "Good links" thread in "Resources"), or use the pen tool. Light source is OK. And it needs some more depth. Some smuge or bluring will do the trick.

To put it simple you'd want something behind the focal in the background. Lets say a wall, a building a mountain. Then blur the background and sharpen the focal a bit. This makes us feel like the focal is close to us, while the background is a bit in the distance. However try not to overdue the sharpen^^

To be honest Feo that doesn't really say what depth is and how to make it. For all we know you said he should blur the focal. Remember he is a newcomer...

Oh, yes Very Happy Well he should blur the background and only a bit sharp the focal.
